Powers: Clyburn initially had no powers, gaining all of his superhuman abilities from a prototype Iron Man armor devised by Anthony Stark. Since becoming an agent of the Green Knight, Clyburn has enhanced strength and agility. The Iron Man armor is fairly primitive compared to Anthony Stark's current battlesuits, but it increases his strength to superhuman levels, allows Clyburn to fly, contains a variety of power sensors and has several weapons, including repulsor rays and a shoulder-mounted gun dubbed "Excalibur." The gun was created by Clyburn and is based on the work of Frank Drake, who created a similar nanite-based wepon. The gun fires a liquid stream of nanites that can alter its target on the molecular level. After being struck by one of Excalibur's energy blasts, Arthur has found himself bonded to the armor, unable to remove it.

History:  

Arthur Clyburn was a weapons designer for the London branch of Stark Enterprises. Despite a promising career, he began to feel stagnated in his personal life. Forty-two years old, divorced and a chronic smoker, Arthur thought that he would never amount to much. That all changed after an attack on the Stark facility drove him into a hidden underground bunker. Finding a prototype Iron Man armor, Arthur put it on for protection, mounting his personal "Excalibur" gun onto the shoulder. Within minutes, he found himself face-to-face with both the Hulk and an all-new Abomination. The battle was a difficult one for Arthur, who was plagued by self-doubt. During the conflict, Arthur was accidentally caught in his own nanite-laced energy blast. Though he did not know it at the time, this bonded him to the armor, making him unable to remove it. He is now able to survive without food or water, existing as a form of bio-mechanical life.

The Green Knight approached Arthur during the battle, offering him the opportunity to serve him as a Pendragon. Arthur accepted, becoming more confident than ever before. In the aftermath of his battle with the Abomination, Arthur elected to remain active as the new Iron Man, one who combines science and mysticism to protect Britain.
