| Grace |
Real Name: Francesca Lexley Grace
Class: Altered Human
Occupation: Former businesswoman, former adventurer
Affiliations: Former Member of the Pendragons, Former Member of the Dark Guard
Scale of Operations: Europe
Powers: The Knights of Pendragon each possess the Champion Spirit of Pendragon – they have heightened abilities, powers and senses which become exaggerated to super-human levels. They are able to tap into the power of the Earth itself, which manifests as a lightning-like energy. Grace uses these energies to enhance her fighting abilities and she makes good use of the wrist-blades that adorn her uniform.
History:
Grace was once an executive for the corrupt Omni Megacorporation, which was allied with Mys-TECH. Omni despoiled the environment and engaged in numerous unethical practices, all of which were sanctioned by Grace. She was a cold, bitter woman who valued people only for what they could give her. The Bane saw her as a perfect servant and claimed her for their own. In this form she battled the Knights of Pendragon and stood with the Red Lord when the demon attempted to overrun Avalon. During this affair, she encountered Albion on the field of warfare and found her sins washed away in the glory of the Pendragon spirit.
Turning on her former allies, Grace became a member of the Knights and entered into a romantic relationship with Albion. The two of them appeared inseparable for a time but their happiness was interrupted when Albion left to spend some time on an alternate world, helping it rebuild from a terrible cataclysm that was inadvertently caused by the Knights.
While Peter was gone, Grace fought crime on her own but found that she was basically treading water in her personal life. It was in this state that Brian Braddock found her. The King of Otherworld knew of the Avalon War that was looming and feared that Grace would be a target for the Bane. The warrior took refuge in Otherworld and, once the War was over and the newly reformed Pendragons had found their way to Braddock's side, she returned to the arms of her lover. As a Pendragon, she took part in the horrible battle against Blackheart that ended with Peter's death.
Grace found herself once more unsettled and she moved into Braddock Manor for a time to try and regroup. When the opportunity came for her to join the time-spanning Dark Guard, she took the position, hoping that the thrill of experiencing new worlds would make her pain lessen.
After many months alongside the Guard, Grace returned to the Pendragons. She served well, battling such foes as Nekros and Andreas Strucker, but lost her life during the event known as the Collision. It is hoped that her spirit has been reunited with that of Peter Hunter at long last.
