Blade - Born as his mother was murdered by a vampire, Blade was cursed from birth. Trained as a killer of the undead by a jazz musician named Jamal Afari, Blade has hunted vampires for most of his life. This has made him many deadly enemies, most notably Deacon Frost (the vampire who slew Blade's mother) and the Lord of Vampires, Dracula. Though Blade typically operates alone, he has worked in the past with Hannibal King and Frank Drake, two men also linked by tragedy. At present, Blade has associations with an organization led by the mysterious Whistler. After being altered by a bite from Morbius, the Living Vampire, Blade now possesses all a vampire's strengths, but none of their weaknesses. Recognized as the Daywalker of myth, the vampires of the world hide in fear of the day that Blade comes calling.
Whistler - The secretive being known as Whistler heads up an international group of vampire hunters. An expert in tracking the movements of various vampire clans, Whistler has recruited the very elite to help him in his crusade. He sees a bit of himself in Blade, as well, and hopes to reign in the young man's anger -- and focus it into something that can be harnessed.

Mikado - Mikado and her sister are members of Whistler's organization. Though much of their history is unknown, both women are highly trained in the arts of assassination and vampire hunting. Mikado is fiercely protective of her sister and will go to any lengths to protect her.

Mosha - Mikado's sister, Mosha is another member of Whistler's band of vampire hunters. Beautiful and deadly, Mosha sees Blade as the final piece in Whistler's puzzle. Though no one knows the full reasons behind Mosha and Mikado's hatred of the undead, it is obvious that both are just as driven in their tasks as Blade himself.
